SOLEDAD Y EL MAR
This piece was a project for a Latin American Music class I took during my time in college. The song, Soledad y el mar is written, composed, and sung by popular Latin American singer Natalia Lafourcade. The song is part of an album named Musas.

The song conveys a message about feelings of loneliness and love while accompanied by vivid imagery of nature including the sound of waves and the song of seagulls. The song is written in the style of a bolero, which is a romantic ballad.

PROCESS AND BEHIND-THE-SCENES
For this song, I practiced a lot to get the guitar just right. I looked up a tutorial on Youtube and learnt both guitar parts and also practiced singing the song along with playing to solidify the plucking pattern.
After learning the main voice and guitar parts I listened to the studio recording to pick out all the instruments then re-recorded them into logic using midi. I started with he percussion then recorded myself playing guitar. I then recorded the main vocals and the background vocals.

Finally, after I finished the audio recording my mom and I went out to a local lake to shoot the video on DSLR. I wanted water in the background because the song references the ocean but we don't have any oceans in Colorado :,).

During the shooting of the video, I lip-sycned to the audio that I recorded earlier.
After shooting all the video footage, I edited the video clips and synced the audio in Photoshop using the motion setting. I also added closed caption both in Spanish and English. Once I was finished, I rendered the video.
